Vision Statement:
Community for Community's vision is to raise funds for the enhancement of programs and projects in the Arlington Public Schools, and creating a community dedicated to the improvement of our schools which, in turn, will create future citizens dedicated to the improvement of our community.

Great Schools = Higher Home Values:
You've always heard, "location, location, location," regarding real estate values. One of the most important aspects influencing location is "schools, schools, schools." Arlington has earned the reputation of having some of the best schools in the region, and each year we continue to see demand for housing increase largely due to the success of our schools. More housing demand results in higher home values. Whether you have school aged children or not, the value of your home is often directly linked to the standing of our Arlington schools.

Just recently, several community leaders have collaborated to form the Arlington Education Foundation / Community for Community (AEF). AEF is a non-profit organization established for the sole purpose of improving our schools by encouraging every household, business, civic organization, etc. to donate on a monthly basis to the organization. All of the donations are given directly to the schools to continue to improve the education of our children and thereby bolster school rankings. If every household in Arlington will donate only $10.00 per month (equivalent of a few cups of coffee at Starbucks), the community would be able to make a huge impact toward educational advancements. Larger donations will be requested from local businesses, and applications for State and Federal grants can be submitted in the future.

Germantown, Bartlett, and Collierville have already established education foundations, as well as many other small towns and communities across the nation. Many public schools with successful community fundraising in place test better and rank higher than their private school counterparts. Our state and county budgets are hurting. In order for us to continue to further Arlington schools, we as a community also need to take action. There is no doubt that every Arlington resident benefits from supporting our schools each year.
